Keeping you in touch

Hi Room 11, I won't be in for a week or so as I have fractured my ankle and I am in a heavy plaster cast from knee to toe. It's rather uncomfortable and I'm not very good on the crutches yet, but hopefully by next week I will have seen the specialist and may have a moon boot so that I can come back to school.At least Liam I may get to see a few of those 48 RWC live games you were talking about watching!
I haven't just been sitting around though I have added a few things for you to work on, I hope that they will be fun.
The first is a slide show on an artist called Keith Haring. He is a pop artist and I'm sure that you will recognise some of his work. I thought that he would make a good artist model for our calendar art. I would like you to do your work on A3 paper using coloured pencils or jovis (Jovis preferably) and the background dye. Perhaps you could choose your favourite sport as your topic, or you can model it on one of his other works that appeal to you. You can go around the figues in black vivid and colour before you dye the background. I'll look forward to seeing how they turn out.
I have also added some links for the sweets that you will need to make for market day;some of the recipes look very yummy. Remember also to check out the Rugby World cup sites. Have a good week and good luck for the sporting events on this week :)
